Ο σταθμός πλυσίματος Gitesi βρίσκεται στη Δυτική Επαρχία της Ρουάντα και ανήκει στον Αλέξις και τον γιο του Αϊμέ Γκαχίζι. Λειτουργεί από το 2006 και συνεργάζεται με πάνω από 1.800 μικροκαλλιεργητές. Ο Αϊμέ, μηχανικός, έχει αναπτύξει σύστημα καθαρισμού νερού που εφαρμόζεται σε όλη τη χώρα.
Ο σταθμός δίνει έμφαση στην ποιότητα: εφαρμόζει αυστηρή διαλογή κερασιών, ξεχωρίζει τις επιπλέουσες κατώτερες ποικιλίες, και χρησιμοποιεί eco-pulper και φυσική ζύμωση 10–12 ωρών. Η αποξήρανση γίνεται σε υπερυψωμένα κρεβάτια για 15 ημέρες, με σκίαση όταν χρειάζεται.
Η Gitesi είναι πιστοποιημένη με CAFÉ Practices και Rainforest Alliance, έχει σύστημα ανακύκλωσης νερού και παράγει οργανικό λίπασμα από φλούδες καφέ. Υποστηρίζει την κοινότητα με:

Gitesi Washing Station – Summary in English
Gitesi Washing Station is located in Rwanda’s Western Province and is privately owned by Alexis and his son Aime Gahizi. It began operations in 2006 and works with over 1,800 smallholder farmers. Aime, an engineer, developed a water purification system that has become a national model in coffee processing.
The station focuses on quality, using strict cherry sorting protocols, removing floaters, and employing an eco-pulper followed by 10–12 hours of dry fermentation. Drying takes place on raised African beds for up to 15 days, with shade used during hot, rainy, or nighttime periods.
Gitesi is CAFÉ Practices and Rainforest Alliance certified. It has a sustainable wastewater system and produces organic fertilizer from coffee pulp. It also supports the local community through several initiatives:
Free coffee nurseries (15,000–50,000 seedlings)
Cow distribution program (first calf passed to another farmer)
Farming tools and fertilizer (organic & chemical)
Health insurance for 100 low-income farmers annually
Training in financial and agricultural practices
Quality-based bonus system for farmers
